Relief of wet/productive cough associated with chest congestion; helps in loosening and clearing mucus in conditions like acute bronchitis or upper respiratory tract infections.

Typically, LS cough drops contain an expectorant/mucolytic to thin and loosen mucus, and a bronchodilator to open the airways. This helps reduce chest congestion and makes coughing out phlegm easier. Exact mechanism depends on the active ingredients present in the formulation.

Use only as prescribed by a doctor. Shake well before use. Measure the dose with the provided dropper; it may be given with or without food. Do not exceed the recommended dose, especially in young children.

Not to be used in children without medical advice. Use with caution in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, diabetes, glaucoma, seizure disorders, liver/kidney impairment, or if the child has a history of wheezing/asthma. Seek medical help if breathing difficulty, persistent fever, worsening cough, or allergic reactions occur. Do not use longer than advised.

Other cough/cold medicines, beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol), MAO inhibitors/antidepressants, diuretics (may affect potassium), theophylline and other bronchodilators, digoxin, medicines that cause drowsiness (if formulation contains antihistamine)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light and moisture. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.
