Ketoap Soap

Ketoap Soap contains Ketoconazole 2% w/w (medicated antifungal soap). Prescription required.

Fungal skin infections such as tinea (ringworm), athlete’s foot, jock itch, cutaneous candidiasis; helps reduce dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis when used on affected body areas as advised.

Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This damages the fungal membrane and stops fungal growth, relieving itching, redness and scaling.

For external use only. Wet skin, apply soap to affected area and surrounding skin, lather and leave for 1–2 minutes, then rinse and dry well. Use once daily or as directed by a doctor; continue for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve.

Skin irritation, burning/stinging, itching, redness, dryness, peeling, allergic rash (rare)

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and broken skin; rinse well if contact occurs. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergy occurs. Use with caution in infants/young children and on large areas unless advised. Not for intravaginal use.

No clinically significant interactions expected with topical ketoconazole soap; avoid using multiple harsh/irritant topical products on the same area to reduce irritation.

Store at room temperature (below 30°C), in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
