Symptomatic relief of sore throat, throat irritation, cough associated with throat dryness, and hoarseness; provides a soothing, cooling effect.
Medicated/soothing lozenges typically work by increasing salivation and providing local demulcent action that coats the throat. Mint/menthol ingredients give a cooling sensation and may provide mild local anesthetic and decongestant effects, reducing throat discomfort and cough reflex triggered by irritation.
Allow 1 lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth; do not chew or swallow whole. Repeat every 2–3 hours as needed or as directed by a physician. Not recommended for young children who may choke; use with caution in children.
Mouth/throat irritation, nausea, stomach upset, allergic reactions (rare)
Do not exceed the recommended intake. If symptoms persist beyond 3 days, or if you have high fever, difficulty breathing/swallowing, severe sore throat, or blood in sputum, consult a doctor. Use caution in diabetes if the lozenges contain sugar (check label). Stop use and seek medical help if rash, swelling, or breathing difficulty occurs. Keep out of reach of children; choking hazard in small children.
No clinically significant interactions expected with typical soothing/mint lozenges; check label for specific actives (e.g., antiseptics/local anesthetics) and consult a doctor if using multiple throat/cough products together.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep container tightly closed.
