Helps manage dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis associated with scalp flaking, itching and redness; may also be used for superficial fungal involvement of the scalp as advised by a doctor.
Medicated anti-dandruff shampoos typically work by reducing the growth of dandruff-causing yeast (Malassezia) on the scalp and decreasing scaling. This helps relieve itching and flaking and improves scalp inflammation over time.
For external use on scalp only. Wet hair/scalp, apply sufficient shampoo, gently massage to lather and leave for 3–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Use as directed by a physician; commonly 2–3 times weekly initially, then once weekly/as needed for maintenance. Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin.
scalp irritation, burning or stinging, itching, dryness, increased oiliness, redness, hair texture changes, hair fall (temporary), allergic rash (rare)
External use only. Stop use and consult a doctor if severe irritation, swelling or rash occurs. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with plenty of water. Use with caution on damaged/eczema-affected skin. If pregnant, breastfeeding, for children, or if symptoms persist/worsen after 2–4 weeks, consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
No significant systemic drug interactions expected with topical shampoo use; avoid using multiple medicated scalp products simultaneously unless advised (may increase irritation).
Store at room temperature (below 25–30°C), protected from direct sunlight and excess heat. Keep cap tightly closed; do not freeze.
