Treatment of epilepsy/seizure disorders including partial (focal) onset seizures, myoclonic seizures and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (as advised by neurologist).

Levetiracetam is an anti-epileptic medicine that binds to synaptic vesicle protein SV2A in the brain. This helps stabilize abnormal electrical activity and reduces the likelihood of seizures.

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually twice daily, at the same times each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Sleepiness (somnolence),dizziness,headache,fatigue,irritability,nausea,loss of appetite

Do not stop abruptly (may worsen seizures). Use caution while driving/operating machinery until you know its effects. Monitor for mood/behavior changes, depression or suicidal thoughts; seek medical help if they occur. Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney disease; inform your doctor if you have renal impairment. Use with caution in elderly. Severe rash or hypersensitivity is rare but needs urgent care.

Other CNS depressants (e.g., alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids) may increase drowsiness. Medicines that affect kidney function may alter levetiracetam levels. Few clinically significant interactions compared to other anti-epileptics, but always inform your doctor about all medicines/supplements.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
