Before you take it
Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br/>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine.
Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liofen Xl 40 contains Baclofen (40mg) and is used for liofen 40 mg. Prescription required.
Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL is used for muscle relaxation. It treats muscle spasms which may occur in diseases affecting the nervous system, such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, or injury to head, brain or spine.
Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm without reduction in strength. This improves pain and movement of muscles.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Liofen 40 mg Capsule XL is to be taken with food.

This medicine causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Use it for the short course your doctor has prescribed — these are not intended for long-term use. Do not stop a long course abruptly without asking your doctor.
Alcohol, sleeping tablets, antihistamines and opioid painkillers all add to the drowsiness, sometimes dangerously.
Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
