Treatment of Liver disease

Livodox Plus Tablet is a combination of metadoxine, silymarin, L-ornithine L-aspartate, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), and folic acid. This medicine contains antioxidant properties. It works by protecting the liver from harmful chemical substances (free radicals), thus preventing liver damage.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Livodox Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

A liver supplement does not treat the cause of liver disease. Alcohol, weight, viral hepatitis and medicines are what have to be addressed. Stop alcohol completely if you have any liver condition. Report yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, swelling of the abdomen or confusion without delay. Keep your liver function tests and follow-up appointments. Tingling, numbness or burning in the hands and feet should be assessed by a doctor rather than self-treated — a supplement does not address the cause. Folic acid can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency while nerve damage continues, so B12 should be checked before taking folic acid long term. Bright yellow urine after a B-complex dose is expected and harmless.

Tell your doctor about every medicine and supplement you take — the liver processes most of them. Long-term metformin, acid-reducing medicines and some anti-epileptics lower B12 or folate levels. Tell your doctor if you take levodopa, as vitamin B6 can reduce its effect.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
