Sterile single-use lancets (for capillary blood sampling)
Used for pricking the skin (usually fingertip) to obtain a small blood sample for self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) and other capillary blood tests as advised.
A lancet is a sterile, fine needle designed to puncture the skin quickly and with minimal discomfort. It creates a small opening to obtain a capillary blood drop for testing with a glucometer/strips.
Use with compatible lancing device as per device instructions. Wash and dry hands, insert a new lancet, select depth setting, prick the side of fingertip, obtain blood drop, then remove and safely dispose the used lancet in a sharps container. Do not reuse or share.
Pain or stinging at puncture site, minor bleeding, bruising, skin irritation, infection (rare)
Single-use only; do not reuse or share (risk of infection). Use only with compatible lancing devices. Keep out of reach of children; needle is sharp. Do not use if packaging is damaged or lancet appears contaminated. Dispose in a puncture-proof sharps container as per local biomedical waste guidance. Seek medical advice if redness, swelling, pus, or persistent pain occurs at puncture site.
No known drug interactions (medical device).
Store in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Keep in original packaging until use.
