Inflammatory and pruritic steroid-responsive skin conditions such as eczema (atopic dermatitis), allergic/contact dermatitis, and psoriasis (localized), to reduce redness, swelling and itching

Mometasone furoate is a topical corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by suppressing release of inflammatory mediators and immune responses in the skin. This decreases redness, swelling and itching.

For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily or as directed by a doctor; rub in gently. Avoid use on face, groin, underarms or under occlusion unless prescribed; wash hands after application. Do not use on broken/infected skin unless advised.

Burning, stinging, itching, dryness, irritation, redness, folliculitis, acneiform eruptions, skin thinning (atrophy), striae, hypopigmentation

Use the smallest amount for the shortest duration. Prolonged use, large-area application or occlusion can cause systemic corticosteroid effects (adrenal suppression), especially in children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use on untreated bacterial/fungal/viral skin infections, acne, rosacea or perioral dermatitis unless prescribed. Stop and consult doctor if worsening, no improvement, or signs of infection occur.

Other topical corticosteroids or immunosuppressants (additive effects), occlusive dressings (increase absorption and side effects), strong CYP3A4 inhibitors may theoretically increase systemic steroid exposure if significant absorption occurs

Store below 25°C. Protect from heat and direct light. Keep cap tightly closed; do not freeze.
