Relief of constipation; softens stools and helps bowel movement. May be used for faecal impaction under medical advice.

Movicol contains osmotic laxative ingredients that retain water in the bowel, increasing stool water content. This softens stools and stimulates natural bowel movements, helping ease constipation.

Oral liquid single-dose (25 mL). Take as directed by your doctor/pharmacist; may be taken with or without food. Drink adequate fluids during use. If symptoms persist beyond a few days or constipation is severe, seek medical advice.

Abdominal pain/cramps, bloating, flatulence, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, headache

Do not use if you have intestinal obstruction/perforation, severe inflammatory bowel disease, or unexplained severe abdominal pain (unless advised by a doctor). Stop and seek help if severe diarrhoea, dehydration, rash/allergy, or worsening abdominal pain occurs. Use with caution in elderly, kidney/heart disease, or if on fluid/salt-restricted diets (electrolyte disturbance risk). Long-term use should be under medical supervision.

May affect absorption of other oral medicines if severe diarrhoea occurs; keep a gap of ~2 hours between this and other oral medicines when possible. Caution with diuretics and medicines affecting electrolytes (risk of dehydration/electrolyte imbalance).

Store below 25°C, protect from light, keep tightly closed. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
