Prevention and treatment of folate (vitamin B9) deficiency; used in megaloblastic anemia due to folate deficiency and as supplementation in increased folate requirements (as advised by doctor).

Vitamin B9 (folate) is required for DNA synthesis and normal red blood cell formation. Supplementation replenishes folate stores, helping correct folate-deficiency anemia and supporting normal cell division and growth.

Tablet for oral use. Take as directed by your physician; may be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; try to take at the same time each day.

Nausea, abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite, bloating, rash, itching

Do not self-treat anemia without medical advice as folate can mask vitamin B12 deficiency and delay diagnosis, potentially worsening nerve damage. Use with caution in patients with undiagnosed anemia, seizure disorders (if on antiepileptics), or history of allergy to folate preparations. Seek medical help for signs of hypersensitivity (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty).
