Used as a topical antibiotic dusting powder for prevention and treatment of minor skin infections in small cuts, wounds, abrasions and superficial skin infections.
Topical antibiotic powder helps kill/stop the growth of susceptible bacteria on the skin surface. This reduces bacterial load at the wound site and supports healing while preventing infection spread.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then dust a thin layer of powder 1-3 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Avoid inhalation and avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth. Do not apply on large areas, deep wounds, serious burns or under airtight dressings unless advised.
Mild burning, itching, redness, skin irritation, dryness, rash, allergic reaction
Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation, rash, swelling or worsening occurs. Do not use if allergic to topical antibiotics (e.g., neomycin/bacitracin/polymyxin) or if you have a history of contact dermatitis to such products. Avoid use on large areas, prolonged use, or on broken skin extensively as it may increase risk of sensitization and rarely systemic absorption. Consult a doctor for deep puncture wounds, animal bites, serious burns, or if symptoms persist beyond 3-5 days. Keep out of reach of children.
Other topical antibiotics/antiseptics (increased irritation/sensitization), concomitant use with other potentially nephrotoxic/ototoxic medicines is a concern only with extensive/prolonged application and significant absorption; avoid mixing with other topical products on same area unless advised.
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed. Do not freeze.
