Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency; as an adjunct in calcium deficiency, osteopenia/osteoporosis, and bone health support.

Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) helps increase intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphorus and supports bone mineralisation. It also helps maintain normal muscle function and reduces secondary hyperparathyroidism due to deficiency.

Capsule: Take as directed by physician. Commonly taken once daily/weekly depending on strength and indication. Swallow whole with water, preferably after food for better absorption.

Nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, headache, increased thirst, frequent urination

Use with caution in hypercalcaemia, hypervitaminosis D, kidney stones/nephrolithiasis, severe renal impairment, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disorders. Avoid exceeding recommended dose; monitor serum calcium/vitamin D if on high-dose therapy or prolonged use. Seek medical advice if symptoms of high calcium occur (severe nausea, confusion, excessive thirst/urination).

Thiazide diuretics (risk of hypercalcaemia), digoxin/cardiac glycosides (arrhythmia risk with high calcium), anticonvulsants like phenytoin/phenobarbital and rifampicin (reduced vitamin D effect), cholestyramine/orlistat (reduced absorption), corticosteroids (reduced effect), magnesium-containing antacids (risk of hypermagnesaemia in renal impairment)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
