Plectide 3mg Tablet works by imitating a natural substance in the body called uroguanylin, which increases the amount of water and salt moving into the intestines, which helps soften the stool and makes it easier to pass. It also promotes regular muscle movement in the intestines, helping to move stool along more comfortably and preventing constipation.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Plectide 3mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Drink plenty of water while taking any laxative, particularly the fibre-based ones — without it they can make constipation worse. Do not use stimulant laxatives daily over long periods without medical advice; the bowel becomes reliant on them. See a doctor if constipation is new and persistent in an adult over forty, or comes with blood, weight loss or severe pain.

Laxatives can reduce the absorption of other medicines taken at the same time.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
