Fungal infections

Profulvin 250mg Tablet works by stopping the growth and spread of fungi that cause skin, hair, and nail infections. It interferes with fungal cell division, preventing the fungus from multiplying. The medicine concentrates in newly forming skin, hair, and nails, making them resistant to fungal infection and helping healthy tissue replace the infected areas over time.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Profulvin 250mg Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Fungal skin and nail infections need long courses — weeks for skin, months for nails. Stopping when it looks better is the commonest reason it returns. Your doctor may check your liver with a blood test during a long course. Report yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine or persistent nausea at once. Interacts strongly with statins, some heart medicines, blood thinners and sedatives — some combinations must be avoided altogether. Acid-reducing medicines lower the absorption of itraconazole.
