Rantac 300 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and peptic ulcer disease.
Rantac 300 mg Tablet is a H2 blocker (antacid). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rantac 300 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

This is for short-term relief. See a doctor if you need it most days for more than a couple of weeks. Seek urgent care for chest pain that spreads to the arm or jaw, comes with sweating or breathlessness — do not assume it is acidity. Antacids interfere with the absorption of many other medicines. Take them at least two hours apart from anything else.
Reduces the absorption of thyroid tablets, iron, and several antibiotics — separate them by at least two hours.
