Overview
Potassium nitrate (typically 5% w/w), Sodium fluoride (typically 0.221% w/w providing ~1000 ppm fluoride) in toothpaste base
Uses & Benefits
Relief of dentine hypersensitivity (sensitive teeth) triggered by hot, cold, sweet, sour or brushing; daily oral hygiene and cavity protection
How It Works
Potassium nitrate helps calm the nerves inside sensitive teeth by reducing nerve excitability. Fluoride strengthens enamel and helps prevent tooth decay by promoting remineralization and inhibiting bacterial acid effects.
Directions for Use
For adults and children ≥12 years: Brush teeth thoroughly twice daily (and not more than 3 times), preferably after meals. Spit out after brushing; do not swallow. Not recommended for children under 12 years unless advised by a dentist/doctor.
For dental use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a dentist; sensitive teeth may indicate an underlying problem needing prompt care. Keep out of reach of children. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, seek medical advice. Not recommended for children <12 years unless advised.
Drug Interactions
No clinically significant drug interactions expected with topical toothpaste use; avoid concurrent use of other high-fluoride dental products unless advised by a dentist
