Treatment and prevention of vitamin D deficiency, supports calcium absorption and bone health; may be used as supplementation in infants/children/adults as advised by a doctor.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is converted in the body to active vitamin D, which increases intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate. This helps maintain normal blood calcium levels and supports bone mineralization and skeletal health.
Oral drops. Shake well before use. Measure the prescribed dose using a calibrated dropper and administer directly or mix with a small amount of milk/water. Can be taken with or without food; follow doctor’s advised dose and duration (especially for infants/children).
Nausea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, headache, increased thirst, increased urination
Do not exceed recommended dose. Use with caution in hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, kidney stones, severe kidney disease, and sarcoidosis or other granulomatous disorders. Prolonged high doses can cause vitamin D toxicity (hypercalcemia) with symptoms like weakness, confusion, vomiting, excessive thirst/urination—seek medical help. Check with doctor if taking other vitamin D or calcium supplements.
Thiazide diuretics (e.g., hydrochlorothiazide), digoxin and other cardiac glycosides, anticonvulsants (phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine), rifampicin, corticosteroids, cholestyramine/orlistat (reduced absorption), aluminum/magnesium antacids (especially in renal impairment)
