Medicated lozenges typically act locally in the throat. They help soothe irritated mucosa and may provide mild antiseptic/local anaesthetic action depending on ingredients, reducing pain and irritation.
Allow 1 lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth; do not chew or swallow whole. Repeat every 2–3 hours as needed, or as directed by a doctor. Not recommended for young children unless advised by a healthcare professional.
