Stablanz 8 contains Betahistine (8mg) + Ginkgo Biloba (40mg) and is used for vertigo. Prescription required.

Vertigo

Betahistine is a histamine analog that acts as a H1 receptor agonist and H3 receptor antagonist. It improves microcirculation in the inner ear by causing vasodilation and reducing endolymphatic pressure, which helps alleviate symptoms of vertigo and balance disorders. Ginkgo Biloba extract exerts vasodilatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotective effects. It enhances cerebral blood flow and helps protect neurons against oxidative stress and free radical-induced damage, which may support cognitive and vestibular function.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. StabLANZ 8mg/40mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Do not stop this medicine suddenly without asking your doctor. This medicine causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Report any change in mood, sleep or behaviour. A supplement is not a substitute for a balanced diet or for treating the cause of a symptom. Iron makes stools black and can cause constipation — this is expected, but tell your doctor if it troubles you. Keep iron-containing products well out of reach of children; an overdose in a small child is a medical emergency. Check the labels of everything you take so you do not double up on the same nutrient.

Alcohol and other sedating medicines add to the drowsiness. Iron, calcium, zinc and magnesium reduce the absorption of thyroid tablets and several antibiotics — separate them by a few hours. Tea and coffee taken with iron reduce how much is absorbed; vitamin C increases it.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
