Tenepride-20 mg Tablet

Tenepride-20 mg Tablet contains Teneligliptin (20mg) + Pioglitazone (15mg) and is used for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Prescription required.

Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Tenepride P 20mg/15mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medications. Teneligliptin increases the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreases the hormone (glucagon) that raises blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and post-meal sugar levels. Pioglitazone works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tenepride P 20mg/15mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Stop and see a doctor urgently if you get severe, persistent abdominal pain that spreads to your back, with or without vomiting. Tell your doctor if you develop severe or disabling joint pain. Blisters or peeling of the skin should be reported promptly. If you feel shaky, sweaty, confused or unusually hungry, take sugar, glucose or a sweet drink at once and tell your doctor — these are signs your blood sugar has fallen too low. If a low-sugar episode happens while on an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor such as voglibose or acarbose, use glucose — ordinary sugar and sweets work more slowly. Tell your doctor about any new swelling of the ankles, breathlessness or sudden weight gain.

Low blood sugar is more likely when this is combined with a sulfonylurea or insulin; your doctor may lower that dose. Low blood sugar is more likely when combined with insulin or a sulfonylurea.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
