Bacterial infections such as ear, nose & throat infections (otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis), lower respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, dental infections caused by susceptible bacteria

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid inhibits beta‑lactamase enzymes produced by some bacteria, helping prevent amoxicillin breakdown and broadening antibacterial coverage.

Dry syrup: Reconstitute with boiled and cooled water up to the mark, shake well. Give the prescribed dose using a measuring cup/syringe, preferably at the start of a meal. Shake well before each dose and complete the full course as advised by the doctor.

Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, rash, headache, oral thrush, altered taste

Prescription-only antibiotic; use only for bacterial infections. Do not use in patients allergic to penicillins/cephalosporins. Use with caution in liver disease, kidney impairment, infectious mononucleosis (may cause rash). Stop and seek care for severe allergy (swelling, breathing trouble), severe diarrhoea, or signs of liver problems (jaundice, dark urine). Adjust dose in renal impairment as advised.

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (may increase bleeding risk/INR), methotrexate (increased toxicity), probenecid (increases amoxicillin levels), allopurinol (increased rash risk), mycophenolate mofetil (reduced active metabolite), oral typhoid vaccine (reduced effect)

Store dry powder below 25°C, protected from moisture. After reconstitution, store in a refrigerator (2–8°C), do not freeze, keep tightly closed, and use within 7 days (or as per label).
