How does this medicine work?
Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic that blocks the binding of plasminogen/plasmin to fibrin, preventing breakdown of blood clots. This stabilizes clots and reduces excessive bleeding.

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor; may be taken with or without food (take with food if stomach upset occurs). Swallow with water; do not exceed the recommended dose and duration.
