Trumox CV 375 Tablet

Trumox Cv 375 Tablet contains Amoxycillin (250mg) + Clavulanic Acid (125mg). Prescription required.

Bacterial infections such as infections of the ear, nose and throat (sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media), respiratory tract (bronchitis, pneumonia), urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, dental infections, and other infections caused by susceptible organisms

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxicillin from breakdown by beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby extending its spectrum against resistant bacteria.

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed; usually taken with food at the start of a meal to reduce stomach upset. Swallow whole with water and complete the full course even if you feel better.

Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion, headache, skin rash, thrush (candidiasis)

Prescription-only antibiotic; use only for confirmed/suspected bacterial infection. Do not use if allergic to penicillins/cephalosporins or with history of severe hypersensitivity to beta-lactams. Use with caution in kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed) and in liver disease; stop and seek care if jaundice, severe diarrhoea, or allergic reaction occurs. Prolonged use may cause superinfection (e.g., fungal). May reduce effectiveness of oral contraceptives in some cases—use additional contraception if advised.

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (increased bleeding risk, monitor INR), methotrexate (increased toxicity), allopurinol (increased risk of rash), probenecid (increases amoxicillin levels), mycophenolate mofetil (reduced exposure), live oral typhoid vaccine (reduced vaccine efficacy)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
