Tusq-D Loz Honey/Lemon

Tusq-D Loz Honey/Lemon contains Dextromethorphan (5mg) + Amylmetacresol (0.6mg) and is used for tusq-D Cough. Prescription required.

Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Honey lemon is used in the treatment of dry cough.

Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Honey lemon is a combination of two medicines: Amylmetacresol and dextromethorphan. Amylmetacresol is an antiseptic medicine which works by killing the bacteria associated with mouth and throat infections. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Place it in your mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly. Do not chew or swallow. It may take sometime to dissolve. Tusq-D Cough Lozenges Honey lemon may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

See a doctor if a cough lasts more than a week, or comes with fever, breathlessness, chest pain or blood in the sputum. Do not give cough and cold preparations to young children except on a doctor's advice. Do not combine two cough preparations — they frequently contain the same ingredients, and the doses add up. Preparations containing codeine can cause dependence and must be used only for the period your doctor specifies. For external use only. Keep away from the eyes and the inside of the mouth and nose unless the product is made for that purpose. Do not use a strong antiseptic repeatedly on an open wound — clean running water and soap around the edges are usually better, and harsh antiseptics slow healing. See a doctor for a deep or dirty wound, an animal bite, a wound that will not stop bleeding, or one that becomes red, swollen, warm or discharges. Check that your tetanus cover is current after any dirty or penetrating wound.

Sedating ingredients add to the effect of alcohol and sleeping tablets. Decongestants such as phenylephrine and pseudoephedrine can raise blood pressure — tell your doctor if you are hypertensive. No significant interactions are expected.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
