Ulyses Tablet 150 mg is a prescription medicine containing Ursodeoxycholic Acid (150mg). It is used for liver disorders, fatty liver and support of liver function. It belongs to the group of medicines called Liver support agent.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Ulyses Tablet 150 mg are loose motions, nausea and stomach discomfort. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Ulyses Tablet 150 mg works.
Most side effects of Ulyses are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or after food. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
Ursodeoxycholic Acid supports the liver cells and helps the flow of bile.
A liver supplement does not treat the cause of liver disease. Alcohol, weight, viral hepatitis and medicines are what have to be addressed. Stop alcohol completely if you have any liver condition. Report yellowing of the eyes or skin, dark urine, swelling of the abdomen or confusion without delay. Keep your liver function tests and follow-up appointments.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine may cause loose motions and stomach upset. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
