Topical management of herpes labialis (cold sores) and other herpes simplex virus (HSV) skin lesions (as prescribed).

Antiviral gels for herpes typically inhibit viral DNA replication in infected skin cells, reducing viral multiplication. This helps shorten the duration of lesions and relieves symptoms when started early.

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer as advised by the doctor, usually several times daily. Start at the first sign of tingling/itching and continue for the prescribed duration; wash hands before and after application and avoid contact with eyes, inside mouth/nose and genitals unless directed.

Mild burning or stinging, itching, redness, dryness, skin irritation, rash

Use only on affected skin; do not apply on broken skin unless advised. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergic reaction occurs. If lesions are widespread, recurrent, or do not improve, consult a doctor. Use with caution in children and in immunocompromised patients only under medical supervision.

No significant systemic drug interactions expected with topical antiviral gels; avoid combining with other irritating topical products on the same area unless advised.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from light and moisture. Keep cap tightly closed. Keep out of reach of children.
