Treatment of acid-related disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) including erosive esophagitis, heartburn/acid reflux; used as part of combination therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication (as prescribed).

Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that directly and reversibly inhibits the gastric H+,K+-ATPase (proton pump). It suppresses stomach acid rapidly and for a sustained duration, helping heal inflammation/ulcers and relieve reflux symptoms.

Take as advised by the doctor. Usually taken once daily; swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Do not crush or chew; take at the same time each day.

Use with caution in severe liver disease. Long-term acid suppression may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, and gastrointestinal infections; use the lowest effective dose. Seek medical advice if alarm symptoms occur (vomiting blood, black stools, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting/difficulty swallowing).

May affect absorption of medicines dependent on gastric acidity (e.g., ketoconazole/itraconazole, iron salts). Use caution with drugs metabolized by CYP enzymes; monitor with warfarin and other narrow-therapeutic-index drugs as advised. Concomitant strong acid-suppressing therapy is usually not required unless prescribed.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
