Zostum O 100 mg Syrup

Zostum O 100 mg Syrup contains Cefditoren (100mg) and is used for this medicine is used. Prescription required.

This medicine is used in the treatment of bacterial infection, chest infection, urinary infection, ear and throat infection and typhoid.

Cefditoren kills the bacteria causing your infection by destroying the cell wall that holds them together.

Shake well before use. Measure the dose with a calibrated spoon/cup/syringe and take exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Can be taken with or without food; taking with food may reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course if prescribed for an infection.

Do not use if allergic to the suspected ingredient or related medicines. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, history of severe allergy/rash, or gastrointestinal disease. Seek urgent help for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty, or persistent/watery/bloody diarrhea. Do not self-medicate antibiotics; misuse can reduce effectiveness.

antacids (may reduce absorption of some antibiotics), warfarin/other anticoagulants (may increase bleeding risk), probenecid, methotrexate, oral contraceptives (reduced efficacy reported with some antibiotics), live vaccines (e.g., typhoid)
