Administer by injection/infusion only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. Dose, dilution, route (IV/IM) and duration depend on the suspected/confirmed infection and patient factors (age, weight, renal function).

Injection site pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, itching, headache, dizziness, elevated liver enzymes

Prescription-only injectable medicine; use only on medical advice. Check for history of allergy to antibiotics/cephalosporins/penicillins (cross‑sensitivity may occur). Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney impairment; monitor renal and liver function with prolonged therapy. Seek urgent care for severe allergic reactions, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe diarrhea (possible C. difficile), or unusual bleeding/bruising.

Anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin) may increase bleeding risk, aminoglycosides or other nephrotoxic drugs may increase kidney toxicity risk, probenecid may increase antibiotic levels, live bacterial vaccines (e.g., typhoid) may have reduced efficacy

Store in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture; keep as per label instructions (typically below 25°C). Do not freeze. Use reconstituted solution within the time specified on the pack insert.
