Syrups & Liquid Medicines

Liquid medicines — syrups, suspensions, solutions, and elixirs — are essential for patients who cannot swallow tablets or capsules. They are especially important in pediatric care, where accurate weight-based dosing requires flexible volumes.

Syrups are sweetened liquid medicines with the active ingredient dissolved in a sugar-based solution. Suspensions contain medicine particles suspended in liquid and must be shaken well before use. Oral solutions are clear liquids with the medicine fully dissolved.

Always use the measuring cup, dropper, or oral syringe provided with the product for accurate dosing. Kitchen spoons vary in size and should not be used for medicine. Store syrups according to label instructions — some require refrigeration after opening.
