Composition of Acimol Tablet

Acimol Tablet contains Aceclofenac (100mg) + Paracetamol (325mg). It belongs to the Non-opioid analgesic (Para-aminophenol derivative) class of medicines.

How Acimol Tablet works

Paracetamol works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, which reduces pain. It also acts on the heat-regulating center in the brain to lower fever.

How to take Acimol Tablet

Take by mouth with water, with or without food. Use the lowest effective dose at the shortest duration; follow the label/doctor’s advice. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose and avoid taking multiple paracetamol-containing products together.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of acimol 100mg/325mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. It can cause severe and sometimes fatal liver damage, often with no symptoms at all for the first day. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Acimol are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Do not take Acimol if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for people with severe liver disease, except under medical supervision.

Interactions with other medicines

Alcohol (increases liver toxicity risk), Warfarin/other anticoagulants (may increase bleeding risk with prolonged use), Enzyme inducers like phenytoin/carbamazepine/phenobarbital/rifampicin (may increase liver toxicity), Isoniazid (hepatotoxicity risk)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.

Do not increase the dose or frequency of acimol 100mg/325mg Tablet without medical advice.
