Betahistine dihydrochloride 16 mg
Treatment of Ménière’s disease and vestibular vertigo associated with dizziness/vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss
Betahistine is a histamine analogue that acts mainly as an H1 agonist and H3 antagonist. It improves microcirculation in the inner ear and reduces endolymphatic pressure, helping relieve vertigo and associated symptoms.
Take by mouth as prescribed by the doctor, preferably with or after food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with water; take at the same time each day and do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
Common side effects of Activeist 16MG Tab may include:
Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer disease (may aggravate), bronchial asthma, or low blood pressure. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist/worsen. Not recommended for children unless prescribed. If allergic reaction (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty) occurs, stop and seek urgent care.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Activeist 16MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
