Betahistine dihydrochloride 8 mg (tablet)
Treatment of Ménière’s disease and vestibular vertigo associated with episodes of dizziness/vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss
Betahistine is a histamine analogue that improves microcirculation in the inner ear by increasing blood flow and reducing endolymphatic pressure. It also modulates histamine receptors in the vestibular system, helping reduce vertigo frequency and severity.
Take as directed by physician. Usually taken orally with or after food to reduce stomach upset; swallow with water. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice; treatment may be needed for several weeks for full benefit.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Activeist 8MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer/acid-related disorders (may worsen symptoms) and bronchial asthma. Caution in pheochromocytoma (contraindicated in many labels). Seek medical help if allergic reaction occurs. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor.
