How Allerpat OD Eye Drops works

Eye anti-allergy drops typically reduce the release or action of histamine and other inflammatory mediators in the eye. This helps relieve itching, redness and watering associated with allergic conjunctivitis.

How to take Allerpat OD Eye Drops

For ophthalmic use only. Instil the number of drops as advised by the doctor, usually 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily (OD) or as prescribed. Wash hands before use, avoid touching the dropper tip, and remove contact lenses before instillation (reinsert after 15 minutes unless advised otherwise).

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Allerpat Eye Drops, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

An overdose of this medicine can cause severe drowsiness, a fast heartbeat, confusion and, in children, agitation and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Other ophthalmic medicines (separate by 5–10 minutes), contact lens solutions; if using multiple eye drops, use ointments last.

How to store Allerpat OD Eye Drops

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed; discard as per label (commonly 28–30 days) after opening.

You have been prescribed Allerpat Eye Drops to relieve red, itchy and watery eyes caused due to allergic eye diseases. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contaminating the eye drops. Side effects such as eye pain or irritation, dry eyes, abnormal sensation in the eyes, headache may occur after using Allerpat Eye Drops. These are usually mild and may not be with everyone. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
