Atrop PD Drops

Atrop Pd Drops contains Atropine Sulphate (0.01%w/v) and is used for atrop PD Eye. Prescription required.

Atrop PD Eye Drop is used in the treatment of uveitis.

Myopia in children commonly occurs due to a problem in their focus mechanism. Atrop PD Eye Drop belongs to a class of medicines called anticholinergic drugs. It works by relaxing particularly those eye muscles which enable the eyes to focus on distant objects.

Shake the bottle well before each dose and measure it with the cup, spoon or dropper supplied — a kitchen spoon is not an accurate measure. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.

Never let the dropper tip touch your eye, eyelid or fingers — that is how a bottle becomes contaminated and causes a worse infection. Discard the bottle one month after you first open it, even if drops remain. Remove soft contact lenses before instilling drops and wait fifteen minutes before putting them back, unless the drops are specifically made for use with lenses. Seek same-day care for eye pain, marked redness, sensitivity to light or any loss of vision. Steroid eye drops must only be used under medical supervision — used wrongly they can raise eye pressure and damage sight. Glaucoma drops must be used every day for life; there are no symptoms until sight is already lost.

Beta blocker eye drops can be absorbed enough to slow the heart and tighten the airways — tell your doctor if you have asthma or a heart condition.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Once opened, use it within the period printed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children.
