How Apretas 10 mg Tablet works

Apretas 10 Tablet is a phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor. It works by blocking the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation associated with psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis, and thereby reduces the signs and symptoms of these conditions.

How to take Apretas 10 mg Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Apretas 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Apretas 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Apretas than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Most side effects of Apretas are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Apretas 10 Tablet is a well-tolerated medicine. Mild stomach upset may occur early during the treatment. Monitor your weight regularly, as Apretas 10 Tablet may cause weight loss. Your doctor will gradually increase the dose from day 1 to day 6 of treatment, after which it may be kept constant. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience new or worsened depression, suicidal thoughts, other mood changes, or unexplained weight loss.
