Pantoprazole 40 mg
Treatment of acid-related disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, erosive esophagitis, gastritis, gastric/duodenal ulcers; prevention of NSAID-induced ulcers; part of H. pylori eradication regimen (with antibiotics).
Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It irreversibly blocks the H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in stomach parietal cells, reducing gastric acid secretion and allowing ulcers/erosions to heal.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily 30–60 minutes before food (preferably before breakfast). Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Bc Pan-40MG Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in severe liver disease. Long-term use may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, bone fractures and Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea. May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy—seek medical advice for alarm features (unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, blood in stool/black stools, difficulty swallowing). Inform doctor if you have osteoporosis, low magnesium, or take long-term therapy.
