Composition of Buscogast Injection

Buscogast Injection contains Hyoscine butylbromide 20 mg/mL (injection). It belongs to the Anticholinergic (muscarinic receptor antagonist) class of medicines.

How Buscogast Injection works

How to take Buscogast Injection

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause a racing heart, confusion, blurred vision and difficulty passing urine. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Buscogast are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Do not take Buscogast if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with glaucoma, urinary retention, or a blockage of the gut.

Interactions with other medicines

Other anticholinergics (additive effects), tricyclic antidepressants, antihistamines (sedating/anticholinergic), antipsychotics, amantadine, MAO inhibitors; prokinetics like metoclopramide may have reduced GI effects

Store below 25°C, protect from light, do not freeze. Keep in original pack; use only if solution is clear and container intact.
