Topical management of acne-prone/oily skin and related bumps; may help reduce clogged pores and comedones (as per product-specific labeling).
Calotop A Lotion is a topical dermatology product used on the skin. If it contains an anti-acne/keratolytic ingredient (e.g., a retinoid), it helps normalize shedding of skin cells, unclog pores and reduce formation of blackheads/whiteheads. Exact mechanism depends on the active ingredients (not available).
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected area as advised by a doctor/label, usually once daily (often at night) on clean, dry skin. Avoid eyes, lips, inside nose and broken/irritated skin; wash hands after application.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Calotop A as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Calotop A than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Calotop A are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Do not apply on cuts, wounds, sunburned or eczematous skin unless advised. Avoid excessive sun exposure; use sunscreen. Stop and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergy occurs. Use caution in sensitive skin; do a patch test if prone to reactions. Keep away from children; for external use only.
Using with other topical irritants/peels (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, astringents, alcohol-based products) may increase dryness/irritation; exact interaction profile depends on ingredients.
Store at room temperature (below 25°C), away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep cap tightly closed; protect from moisture. Do not freeze.
