Cetaphil Moist Lotion contains Purified Water, Glycerin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Cetearyl Alcohol, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Dimethicone, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Niacinamide, Sodium PCA, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Preservatives (may vary by batch). It belongs to the Topical emollient & humectant skin protectant class of medicines.

How Cetaphil Moist Lotion works

This moisturising lotion hydrates the skin by attracting and holding water (humectants like glycerin) and reduces water loss by forming a protective barrier (emollients/occlusives like dimethicone and fatty alcohols). It helps restore the skin barrier, improving softness and reducing dryness-related irritation.

How to take Cetaphil Moist Lotion

For external use only. Apply liberally on clean, dry skin and massage gently until absorbed. Use 1–3 times daily or as needed; can be used on face and body. Suitable for use after bathing; generally non-greasy and can be used with or without sunscreen/makeup.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Cetaphil Moist as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Cetaphil Moist than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Cetaphil Moist Lotion

Most side effects of Cetaphil Moist are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
