Tell us and we will let you know when it is back, or ask a pharmacist on WhatsApp.
We'll let you know the moment Cinkona Injection is back in stock.
Cinkona Injection is used for this medicine is used in the treatment of malaria and prevention of malaria.
Cinkona Injection contains Quinine. It belongs to the Antimalarial agent class of medicines.
Quinine kills the malaria parasite in the blood.
This is given by a doctor or a nurse. Do not attempt to inject it yourself unless you have been trained and told to. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine can cause dangerous heart rhythm disturbance, fits and coma. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Most side effects of Cinkona are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Complete the full course exactly as prescribed. An incomplete course is a common cause of relapse and of resistant malaria. Return to your doctor if fever continues or comes back after treatment. Tell your doctor if you have a heart rhythm problem, or have had one in the family. Some of these medicines are avoided in G6PD deficiency — tell your doctor if you know you have it.
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Several are not suitable in pregnancy or in G6PD deficiency — your doctor will choose accordingly.
Tell your doctor about heart medicines, anti-epileptics and other antimalarials.
Store as printed on the carton — some injections need refrigeration and must not be frozen. Keep out of the reach of children.
