Daflon 500 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of varicose veins, piles and lymphedema.
Daflon 500 mg Tablet is a flavonoid. It works by blocking the action of chemical messengers (prostaglandins, thromboxane A2) which cause inflammation (swelling) of the veins. This improves blood flow in the veins and restores normal vein function.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Daflon 500 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Daflon 500 Tablet. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
