Deforz 6 mg Tablet contains Deflazacort (6mg). It belongs to the Glucocorticoid (systemic corticosteroid) class of medicines.

How Deforz 6 mg Tablet works

How to take Deforz 6 mg Tablet

Missed dose and overdose

Avoid close contact with people who have infections; seek care for fever/sore throat. Do not stop abruptly. Vaccines: avoid live vaccines during therapy unless advised.

Do not take Deforz if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an untreated systemic infection, except where the steroid is part of the treatment.

CYP3A inducers (rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine) may reduce effect; CYP3A inhibitors (ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir/cobicistat) may increase side effects; NSAIDs increase GI ulcer/bleeding risk; antidiabetics/insulin may need dose adjustment; anticoagulants (warfarin) effect may change; diuretics/amphotericin B may increase hypokalemia risk; vaccines (especially live)
