Composition of Doloral-SP Tablet

Doloral-SP Tablet contains Aceclofenac 100 mg + Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 325 mg + Serratiopeptidase 15 mg (commonly as 10 mg/20,000 units). It belongs to the NSAID (Aceclofenac) + Analgesic/Antipyretic (Paracetamol) + Proteolytic enzyme (Serratiopeptidase) class of medicines.

How Doloral-SP Tablet works

Aceclofenac is an NSAID that reduces pain and inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis (COX inhibition). Paracetamol provides analgesic and antipyretic action mainly via central mechanisms. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme used to reduce inflammation and tissue edema, helping relieve swelling.

How to take Doloral-SP Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Take as prescribed, preferably after food with water to reduce stomach upset. Do not exceed the recommended dose; avoid taking other paracetamol-containing products simultaneously.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Doloral-SP as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Doloral-SP than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Doloral-SP Tablet

Most side effects of Doloral-SP are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• increased liver enzymes

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

NSAID-related risk of stomach ulcer/bleeding—use caution in patients with history of ulcers, bleeding disorders, elderly, or those on blood thinners. Use with caution in liver or kidney disease, asthma/NSAID allergy, uncontrolled hypertension, heart disease, or fluid retention. Paracetamol overdose can cause severe liver damage—do not exceed total daily paracetamol limit and avoid alcohol. Stop and seek medical help if black stools, vomiting blood, severe abdominal pain, allergic reactions, or jaundice occur.

Interactions with other medicines

Alcohol, anticoagulants/antiplatelets (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel), other NSAIDs, corticosteroids, SSRIs/SNRIs (bleeding risk), ACE inhibitors/ARBs/diuretics (kidney risk), methotrexate, lithium, cyclosporine/tacrolimus, digoxin
