Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It increases serotonin levels in the brain by inhibiting its reuptake into nerve cells, helping improve mood and reduce anxiety symptoms.

Common side effects of ELICIA 8MG TAB may include:
Prescription medicine. Do not discontinue abruptly (withdrawal symptoms). May increase suicidal thoughts/behavior in children, adolescents and young adults especially early in treatment; monitor mood changes.
