How Esclo Plus works

Clonazepam and escitalopram have anxiety-lowering and mood-enhancing effects. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which increases the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Escitalopram is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood.

How to take Esclo Plus

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Esclo Plus 0.25 mg/5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Esclo Plus 0.25 mg/5 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Esclo Plus than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Esclo Plus

Most side effects of Esclo Plus are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

If you develop any depressing or suicidal thoughts or ideas, you should let your doctor know about them as soon as possible. You might experience low sexual desire after taking Esclo Plus 0.25 mg/5 mg Tablet. Talk to your doctor if it troubles you.
