Eradication of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection associated with duodenal/gastric ulcers, treatment of peptic ulcer disease with H. pylori, prevention of ulcer recurrence after H. pylori eradication

How it works

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid to promote ulcer healing and improve antibiotic effectiveness. Amoxicillin and clarithromycin are antibiotics that kill H. pylori by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and protein synthesis respectively, helping eradicate the infection.

Directions for use

Take exactly as prescribed (usually twice daily regimen). Typically taken before meals: take esomeprazole 30–60 minutes before food, and take the antibiotics as directed (often together after food to reduce stomach upset). Complete the full course even if you feel better; do not skip doses.
