How Esogress -Hp Kit works

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid to promote ulcer healing and improve antibiotic effectiveness. Amoxicillin and clarithromycin are antibiotics that kill H. pylori by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and protein synthesis respectively, helping eradicate the infection.

How to take Esogress -Hp Kit

Take exactly as prescribed (usually twice daily regimen). Typically taken before meals: take esomeprazole 30–60 minutes before food, and take the antibiotics as directed (often together after food to reduce stomach upset). Complete the full course even if you feel better; do not skip doses.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Esogress-HP Forte Kit, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause vomiting, severe loose motions and, rarely, fits. It can cause vomiting, hearing disturbance and heart rhythm changes. It may cause confusion, blurred vision, sweating and a fast heartbeat. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Esogress -Hp Kit are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Prescription-only regimen. Do not use if allergic to esomeprazole/other PPIs, penicillins/cephalosporins (amoxicillin), or macrolides (clarithromycin). Clarithromycin can prolong QT interval—use caution in heart rhythm disorders, low potassium/magnesium, or with QT-prolonging drugs. Use caution in liver disease (especially for clarithromycin) and severe kidney disease (dose adjustments may be needed). Long-term/repeated PPI use may increase risk of low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency and fractures; report severe diarrhoea (possible C. difficile). Stop and seek care for severe rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty, or jaundice.

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for anyone with a known penicillin allergy. Not for anyone with a known allergy to macrolide antibiotics, or with certain heart rhythm disorders.

Interactions with other medicines

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (INR changes),statins (simvastatin/lovastatin—avoid with clarithromycin),digoxin,carbamazepine,phenytoin,theophylline,benzodiazepines (e.g., midazolam),colchicine,ergot alkaloids,cisapride/pimozide (contraindicated with clarithromycin),QT-prolonging medicines (e.g., amiodarone,sotalol),clopidogrel (reduced effect with some PPIs),methotrexate (high-dose),oral contraceptives (antibiotics may reduce reliability in some cases)

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original pack. Keep out of reach of children.

Esogress-HP Forte Kit is a combination of three medicines which treats stomach/intestinal ulcers by killing the causative bacteria. Finish the prescribed course of medicine, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the ulcer harder to treat.
