Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Faroalfa Cv Tablet contains Faropenem (200mg) + Clavulanic Acid (125mg).
Treatment of Bacterial infections
Faroalfa CV Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Faropenem and Clavulanic Acid. Faropenem is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Faropenem against bacteria.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Faroalfa CV Tablet may be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose of Faroalfa CV Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Faroalfa Cv than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
