Flaminta Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Diclofenac and Metaxalone, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles.Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Metaxalone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm. It relieves pain and improves the movement of muscles.
How to take Flaminta Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Flaminta Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Missed dose and overdose
If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Flaminta Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

An overdose of this medicine can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. It can cause deep drowsiness, muscle weakness, a fall in blood pressure and slowed breathing. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions
Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy. This medicine causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Use it for the short course your doctor has prescribed — these are not intended for long-term use. Do not stop a long course abruptly without asking your doctor.
Do not take Flaminta if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for people with myasthenia gravis or severe liver disease.
Interactions with other medicines
Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time. Alcohol, sleeping tablets, antihistamines and opioid painkillers all add to the drowsiness, sometimes dangerously.
